Capturing Emotion through Music
Born the son of a Piano Tuner/Organ Builder, Matthew a composer based in Sydney, Australia began his musical life at the age of 3 on violin learning the Suzuki Method, then moving on to guitar, classical piano and synthesizers in his teens.
Matthew’s music has also been used in TV, Film and Radio both internationally and domestically, including various TV performances.
Matthew’s musical passion is Composition. From writing a song to composing for the Orchestra, it’s the challenge to find a new musical direction to explore and connect with people’s emotions. His musical path has taken him through composing all styles of music, with the Orchestra his most loved vehicle of expression. He has written various Sample Library Demos used by some of the best software developers in the industry.
Matthew continues to explore Orchestral colours combining different genres of music with his love for synthesizers and technology. Film scoring inspires his path with a passion to write music that not only forms a perfect partnership with the visual story but also captures the audiences imagination.
Matthew’s always had a passion for technology, science and space. Over the years of acquiring old faulty analog synths and repairing them he came to appreciate the beautiful imperfections of analog circuitry. Somewhere between the sound of Analog and Digital, Old and New, Real and Virtual, Human and Machine is where the magic lies.
